Student Government will be sponsoring shuttles to the airport for Thanksgiving break. Sign ups are required and interested students can sign up between 12pm and 4 pm on Thursday November 13 and Monday November 17-Wednesday November 19. The shuttles will run from in shifts from around 7 am to 4 pm on Tuesday November 25 and Wednesday November 26, though these times may change based on student need. Get ready to have a blessed Thanksgiving break!
Student Government is co-sponsoring the annual Midnight Madness event. It will be October 25, 2014at 10:30 pm in Finnegan Fieldhouse. There will be contests and prizes, as well as free t-shirts and pizza (while supplies last). Come out and support Barons Athletics and bring your friends for a great time!
Join Student Government in giving back to the Steubenville community! We will be doing the annual Hilltop Cleanup on Saturday, October 11. We will meet at Piece of Pie Park at 11 am, and lunch will be provided to all the volunteers. Bring all your friends, roommates, and household members!
Student Government will be sponsoring shuttles to see Jenny & Tyler at First Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 27. (Concert sponsored by the Harmonium Project.) The shuttles will leave from the Rosary Circle; they’ll run from 5:45-7:15 pm and 9-10 pm. For information on how to purchase tickets, click here.
There will be a Jars of Clay concert and a screening of the first episode of For the Life of the World (FLOW) on Monday, October 13 from 7 pm – 9 pm in Pittsburgh. Shuttles to the event will be available. Attendees will also have the chance to interact with the FLOW team and guest stars from the video. Student Government is co-sponsoring this event with the Acton Society, and tickets will be available for $15 until Monday, September 22; after that, they will be $20. Submissions for candidacy for open positions of Student Government are now closed. Voting for Freshman Senators will take place in Egan lobby on Monday, September 22nd from 9 am – 4:30 pm. You must bring your student ID in order to vote. Please come out and vote for your class representatives. All other open positions will be decided by Special Election in our formal meeting on Wednesday, September 17th.

The Student Government website is up and running again. On this website, you have access to everything – including budget reports and other official documents. You can also use this site to get to know more about SG and it’s members, what we do for the students at Franciscan, and how you can get involved.
This website will also be used for official updates from Student Government, posted right on the front page. These updates will include new available documents, information about special services offered by us, and upcoming events like elections and student transport. We’re currently in the process of adding more information, so some minor changes to the site will be made. Check back for new posts!
